John Bradberry NC – Why Everyone Should Go Traveling at Least Once In Their Life

Many years ago after I finished college, I went on a tour of with a buddy of mine John Bradberry Charlotte NC man and all round good guy. We went without very much money and in a world that wasn’t geared for travel quite like it is these days, back then there was no AirBnb or Skyscanner. Despite of our lack of money, lack of planning ability and many decision taken on the hoof, we had the best 3 months ever and cerated experiences that lived with us forever.

Ever since that trip I have always tried to hit the road for a month or two each year and if you have never done it then here is why I think that everyone should travel at least once in their lifetime.

Opening Your Eyes

Many of us live in a tight bubble, we work with the same people, we see the same people each day and we become accustomed to a certain way of life. Getting out of your bubble really opens your eyes to the rest of the world and the result has quite an effect on your emotions. We can all watch the news and see problems around the World but it is not until you have seen poor people who are happy to just be alive or people who were given nothing and working incredibly hard to create a better life for themselves that you learn to appreciate exactly what you have.

Meeting People

People seem to be a lot more relaxed when they go traveling and this makes it far easier to make friends with people as they are far more open to talk. I made so many amazing friends during my various trips and many of them I am still in touch with. AS you get older it can be difficult to make new friends – because of the bubble – and hitting the road will put you in a great position to meet some awesome new people.

Seeing Amazing Things

Two weeks on a sunny beach each year is all well and good but if you truly want to see the sights that this World has to offer then you need to go traveling. In a single day in Paris during my travels I was able to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower, see the Mona Lisa in the Louvre and take a ride down the beautiful River Seine, not something that you could do on a fortnight on a Caribbean beach.

Health Benefits

It has been scientifically proven that those who travel live longer and are also in better physical shape than those who don’t. The reason for the improvement in physical shape is that you are always on the go when traveling, trying out new activities, walking miles and constantly moving. Traveling also makes you much happier and it is this happiness which contributes towards your longer life. Simply put, travel is good for the mind, the body and most importantly, the soul.
